TACTICAL PAJAMAS®
HOLSTER FAQs
Q— Why did you put a holster in a pair of pajamas?
A— Several reasons: 1. Some people live in dicy areas, and would prefer to be armed while casually lounging at home. 2. Farmers and ranchers might have to deal with wild animals or other problems in the middle of the night, and they need a handy place to carry a firearm. 3. Many people like wearing pajamas out into public. Tactical Pajamas are perfect for that, and in areas where concealed carry is legal— or if the wearer has a permit— the holster is comfortable and handy. 4. Depending on your sleeping position, you can wear a gun while you sleep.
Q— What size is the holster in Tactical Pajamas?
A— The holster is specifically sized for a Glock 19 or 23, but it can accommodate most medium-frame semi-autos. The back has been left open to accommodate handguns with longer grips. One of the guns shown for illustration is a S&W Model 39.
Q-- Can it accommodate a full-sized Model 1911?
A-- Not in it's current configuration.
Q— Can you actually sleep with a gun in the holster?
A— Your comfort while sleeping with a gun in the holster will vary depending on your body shape, the gun you are carrying, and your sleeping position. I find that I can sleep on my left side and my back easily enough, and if I slightly rotate the holster around the back an inch or so I can lay on my right side as well. Smaller weapons will of course be more comfortable to sleep with. YMMV.
Q— What about sitting?
A— For most body types, the holster in Tactical Pajamas is placed quite well for comfortable sitting.
Q— What about smaller guns?
A— Before using the holster in Tactical Pajamas with smaller guns, double-check that the weapon is large enough that it won’t fall out of the opening in the back.
Q-- Is the ballistic nylon bullet-proof!
A-- No! It is meant to deal with the wear. If the firearm goes off while in the holster, the projectile will NOT be contained. The wearer is responsible for following all applicable safety protocols.
Q— Is it necessary to wear a belt with Tactical Pajamas when carrying a gun in the holster?
A— The elastic in the waistband of Tactical Pajamas is of a special type with a very high “modulus.” While it is possible to carry a pistol in the holster without also wearing a belt, a belt is recommended for firearms over about 14-18 ounces..
